📋 Description

• Support the Business Management function within Northrop Grumman’s Finance AI & Analytics organization • Report to the Manager, Finance AI & Analytics • Guide the organization with strategic analysis and provide meaning behind data • Develop and scale statistical and machine learning models using a modeling and simulation lens • Quantify and reduce future uncertainty across various scenarios • Build well-structured, understandable code to enable team collaboration and successful model deployment • Serve as a trusted technical expert on methodology and technology decisions • Communicate core requirements to technology teams • Mentor junior team members on data science best practices • Stay abreast of industry trends and methodologies • Contribute innovative ideas to drive business value

🎯 Requirements

• PhD with 1 years of related professional experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years of related professional experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional experience for Level 3 • PhD with 3 years of related professional experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years of related professional experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related professional experience for Level 4 • Deep foundational knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning concepts • Expertise with Python, with at least 4 years of experience • Proficiency with data transformation using SQL or similar data querying language • Experience using version software control (e.g. git) with a team of collaborators • Experience using cloud-based data science tools such as AWS, Azure, DataBricks, Spark/PySpark • Fluency in translating business problems into questions answerable via analytic methods • Experience collaborating on projects with multiple teams, managing relationships, and communicating findings to audiences • U.S. citizenship required for positions with a government clearance • Secret clearance required for start • Degree in a quantitative field is preferred • Experience with Monte Carlo simulation, time series modeling, or probabilistic modeling is preferred • Proven experience putting models into production is preferred • Experience interfacing and presenting to executive audiences is preferred • Experience with finance- or business management-related data is preferred
