📋 Description

• Build, implement, maintain, and continuously improve Northstar's internal Quality Management System (QMS) • Establish QMS structure, tools, and governance • Partner with every department to identify, capture, and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) • Convert informal or undocumented practices into standardized, approved QMS procedures • Establish and maintain version-control and document-control processes • Maintain current, approved, and retrievable SOPs, workflows, forms, and quality records • Develop and maintain training records tied to SOPs and track auditable training completion • Manage incident and corrective-action processes, including intake, root-cause investigation, CAPA tracking, and closure verification • Lead or support investigations into quality incidents and non-conformances • Assess and improve the QMS based on audit findings, incident trends, and operational feedback • Own and maintain the client-specific quality system as a subset of the overarching QMS • Maintain internal and outlet SOPs for locations processing client material • Serve as primary quality liaison for the major food and beverage client and processing outlets • Manage external quality interactions, communications, and inquiries • Develop and deliver quality training to outlets handling client material • Coordinate and support quality audits and reviews • Organize documentation, training records, and corrective actions for audit readiness • Identify and escalate quality risks related to client material handling • Maintain trackers and dashboards, identify trends and risks, and support business review readiness • Partner with Operations, Commodity Sales, Client Services, Finance, OOEE, and FTF • Report to the Director of Audit & Regulatory

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Quality, Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related) or equivalent professional experience • Prior experience in quality management, quality assurance, compliance, or a related field • Experience building or maturing a QMS from the ground up is a strong plus • Experience with SOP development, document control, and training/compliance record-keeping systems • Experience managing incident investigation and corrective action (CAPA) processes • Experience with or for a branded customer quality program is a plus • Familiarity with the recycling, waste, or manufacturing industry is a plus but not required • Familiarity with eQMS, workflow automation, and data tools is a plus • Ability to travel throughout North America approximately 20% of the time • Highly detail-oriented, with a rigorous, organized approach to documentation, version control, and record-keeping • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication skills • Sound judgment and ability to prioritize and escalate issues effectively • Strong collaboration skills across departments and functions • High level of professionalism and discretion • Self-directed and comfortable building new processes and systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Openness to learning quality/document-management software tools • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no employment visa sponsorship available, including STEM OPT
