• Lead major oncology priority accounts and improve market access for Novartis’ product portfolio • Implement brand strategies with key national and regional customers to achieve targets and gain market share • Manage relationships with senior partners at target accounts • Understand customer needs and develop mutually advantageous account solutions • Craft and execute business plans for assigned accounts • Understand customer needs from departments to C-suite and translate insights into business priorities • Develop strategic approaches aligned with Novartis goals and account needs • Lead strategy and execution before and during product launches • Coordinate collaboration among headquarters, account, and regional leadership teams • Serve as the main oncology contact for Novartis account partners • Facilitate executive exchanges with C-suite and D-suite account leaders • Foster cross-functional teamwork and stakeholder connections • Proactively solve problems and remove obstacles • Own account performance and drive meaningful results • Facilitate communication between Novartis, key accounts, internal teams, Customer Engagement executives, and other Novartis sectors • Manage several high-priority accounts, including at least one complex, highly visible account with major influence on Novartis Oncology
• Bachelor’s degree required from 4-year college or university • 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed teams • Experience inclusive of at least 2 different types of cross-functional roles and/or experiences • 2+ years in project management and translation of strategy into execution • 2+ years leading complex projects requiring cross-functional and national alignment • Track record of exceptional performance and execution that drives results • Strong influencing skills and ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in stressful situations • Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 100 miles from the territory border • Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required • 3+ years in account management covering Academic Medical Centers, Integrated Health Systems, GPOs, and/or large community oncology integrated networks preferred • Experience within the oncology therapeutic area preferred • Must comply with customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may require vaccination • Must successfully complete initial training, including home study, of eight or fewer hours per day and forty or fewer hours per week
