• Lead, inspire, and develop a customer-focused team of Access & Reimbursement professionals • Attract, recruit, onboard, and retain top talent • Support ongoing learning and career development • Build and strengthen an inclusive team environment aligned with Novartis Values & Behaviors • Translate national strategies into impactful regional execution • Coach teams to identify and address patient access and reimbursement challenges • Help remove barriers to therapy initiation and continuation • Partner with field and headquarters colleagues for aligned, customer-focused, compliant execution • Anticipate, escalate, and help resolve access-related issues in a matrixed environment • Build regional partnerships supporting operational excellence and outcomes for patients and customers • Maintain understanding of company policies, industry regulations, and compliance requirements • Contribute to regional and enterprise-wide initiatives supporting organizational priorities and business performance • Drive and/or fly within the assigned territory
• Bachelor’s degree required from 4-year college or university • 8+ years’ experience in reimbursement, market access, contract strategy, managed care, sales, marketing, or a related healthcare field role • Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading, coaching, and developing teams while collaborating across diverse stakeholders and functions • Experience partnering with complex healthcare organizations, integrated delivery networks, and health systems to establish and optimize patient access pathways • Strong strategic account management skills • Deep understanding of manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs, including specialty pharmacy distribution, buy-and-bill processes, reimbursement, billing and coding, and claims management • Proven success driving business initiatives, leading through change, and executing strategic plans • Candidate must reside within region, or within a reasonable commuting distance to and from a metropolitan airport • Ability to travel 60-80% over a broad geography, with the ability to drive and/or fly within the territory • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required • Experience supporting specialty therapeutic areas and navigating complex practice environments (desirable) • Strengths in patient support services, market access, cross-functional collaboration, launch readiness and execution, communication, presentation, and relationship-building (desirable) • Ability to successfully complete initial training, including home study in eight (8) or fewer hours per day and forty (40) or fewer hours per week
