• Develop and execute content and training plans for Medical Affairs scientific resources and knowledge • Create, review, update and archive FMA slide libraries, new hire materials, key studies and scientific/clinical materials • Serve as a scientific resource for the FMA team on product and disease-state areas • Liaise with FMA, Therapeutic Area, Medical Information and cross-functional internal stakeholders • Develop assessment strategies and tools to evaluate scientific competencies and knowledge • Develop strategies and plans for scientific resources, communications and training initiatives • Prepare scientific materials and clinical updates for product launches, speaker training and other activities • Coordinate FMA participation in scientific conventions and Novo Nordisk Medical Booths • Coordinate Product Safety updates for the FMA team • Standardize, archive and manage FMA training and scientific materials • Coordinate disease-state and product-specific technical and clinical support for sales education • Lead new-hire and ongoing scientific training for the FMA team • Coordinate medical and competitive intelligence updates on clinical trials • Develop and execute Medical Affairs new-hire training with CMR Training • Develop customer-engagement resources for field teams and healthcare stakeholders • Develop scientific resource plans for Obesity, Diabetes and new stakeholders • Manage vendor relationships, contracts and projects • Maintain and update the Medical Slide Library with global Medical Affairs teams • Plan and lead live meetings, including Medical Affairs National Meetings and National WebEx • Prepare and present content for medical advisory boards as needed • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and with appropriate medical/legal review • May manage Medical Affairs Fellows, interns and students and mentor Field Medical personnel
• Doctoral degree (PharmD, PhD or MD/DO) required • Minimum 3 years of Field Medical experience or prior experience in a similar role required • Minimum 5 years of industry experience required • Ability to manage multiple projects and engage stakeholders in a dynamic environment with tight timelines • Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills • Superior oral, written and presentation communication skills • Ability to engender trust and respect of peers and superiors • Prior experience in diabetes and/or obesity preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of literature search techniques • Proven teamwork, innovation and project management track record • 20–30% overnight travel required • Reasonable access to an airport • Eligible to work remotely anywhere in the United States
