📋 Description

• Oversee and participate in all aspects of ALS/BLS/performance examination development and delivery, from initial blueprint through technical report • Execute examination project plans, including content development, administration, publication, and delivery • Identify examination and item development needs and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and workflows • Track key performance indicators and inquiry response metrics • Prioritize, scope, coordinate, and manage assigned examination projects • Review and develop item content and facilitate content review meetings • Recruit and train subject-matter experts and facilitate item writing and review activities • Develop assignments, training materials, item models, cognitive maps, and related resources • Collect and analyze post-meeting data and prepare reports on outcomes and content quality • Review and maintain item pools, pilot test data, and examination content • Participate in item analyses, cognitive interviews, focus groups, and pilot studies • Support development of new item types, scoring instruments, rubric updates, and content review processes • Add references and rationales to items in the item management system • Manage examination development resources, including image banks, reference materials, variant lists, and job aids • Collaborate with Examination Operations, psychometricians, editors, vendors, IT, stakeholders, and internal teams • Investigate candidate inquiries, item challenges, examination issues, and suspected security concerns • Participate in examination security investigations involving compromised content • Maintain compliance with NCCA standards and revise examination procedures and work instructions • Communicate updates, anticipated challenges, and operational changes with the Stakeholder team • Monitor examination trends, volumes, pass rates, and other key metrics and prepare reports

🎯 Requirements

• 4-year degree in a clinical health profession or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education required • Current or recent state-licensed paramedic • 3–5 years of high-volume EMS experience required • 3–5 years of experience as an EMS instructor preferred • Knowledge of the testing lifecycle: development, publication, administration, analysis, and reporting • Ability to clearly document policies, procedures, work instructions, and reports for internal and external audiences • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills • High ethics and integrity • Must be able to successfully work in an office environment • Must be able to travel up to 10 nights per year
