📋 Description

• Perform mechanical engineering assignments on the nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) including system and detailed component design. • Review and evaluate various plant systems to ensure design, performance, inspection, and testing requirements are defined and met. • Prepare, check, and review engineering reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other design documents. • Collaborate with a multi-discipline team on very complex tasks in multiple and diverse areas and propose innovative design solutions requiring a significant amount of independent judgment. • Interpret scope and project requirements. • Plan, organize, and perform complex assignments in support of developing licensing scope. • Provide mentoring and technical direction to less experienced engineers. • Serve as a technical lead for the design of NSSS components and systems.

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical). • A registered professional engineer license (P.E) in Mechanical, Nuclear, is desired, but not required. • Minimum of 10 years of full-time, relevant nuclear experience is required. • A significant level of ISI expertise is required. • Must have strong technical writing skills as well as professional communication, computer, presentation and interpersonal skills. • Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases is required. • Additional experience in the following areas is desired: • Possess a working knowledge of ASME Sections III & XI Codes and Standards and 10CFR 50 ASME Section XI Engineering Programs knowledge such as ISI and IST. • Knowledge of NDE requirements and techniques to be deployed during PSI and ISI of components. • Nuclear Utility or plant experience and knowledge NSSS Component Design, Inspection & Testing Resolving complex & multidisciplinary design issues. • Domestic nuclear licensing support experience.
