📋 Description

• Lead the data warehouse and reporting transformation for a financial institution client • Maintain and support the existing SQL Server-based data warehouse and reporting environment • Design, build, and migrate data models, ETL pipelines, and reports to Snowflake and Sigma • Serve as lead technical architect for converting SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS to Snowflake and Sigma • Design target-state Snowflake data models • Re-engineer SSIS ETL flows into Snowflake-native ingestion and transformation pipelines • Rebuild SSRS reports and dashboards as Sigma workbooks and reports, validating parity and accuracy • Document source-to-target mappings for data integration and report output • Sequence and coordinate migration phases, cutovers, and parallel-run validation • Develop and document ETL data flows using SSIS, PowerShell, PowerPoint, Visio, and T-SQL • Create and manage SSRS reports, dashboards, and agents • Communicate migration risks, system issues, and status to team members and client stakeholders • Support off-hours upgrade and migration work when necessary • Participate in peer reviews, requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and project support • Identify data inconsistencies, anomalies, and scripting issues; implement performance recommendations • Track, report, and resolve end-user issues • Complete annual compliance training and comply with bank, federal, and state regulations

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8 years of relevant experience for this role • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a traditional financial institution (bank or credit union) • Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and quality of output • Proficient in statistics, finance, and retail and commercial banking business concepts • Ability to stay current on analytics and data platform trends, including modern cloud data warehousing and BI tools • Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to provide project documentation, including source-to-target mapping and migration plans • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple project schedules • Proficient in the Microsoft Development and Office Suite • Proficient in application development, database and system/application design, and legacy/web-based systems and interfaces • Legacy platform experience: SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS • Target platform experience: Snowflake, Sigma • Experience with Visio and Lucid • Data modeling tools: Sparx, Oxygen, Altova, Erwin, SQL Developer, SQL Data Modeler • Reporting and integration frameworks: Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, SSIS • Visual Studio VB and/or C# software development for Web, WinForm, Services, API, and WebAPI • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is based
