📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day operations of a team within OCHIN Billing Services • Manage team performance and development of people, processes, and improvements • Provide billing services to multiple members and support superior billing services for OBS clients • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify high-risk accounts, improve collections, and streamline processes • Develop actionable, prioritized plans with executives and the partnering director • Manage workflows aligned with departmental goals and objectives • Execute individual and team goals aligned with organizational strategic initiatives • Allocate work based on account needs, staff experience, and expertise • Prepare and deliver performance coaching and reviews for direct reports • Identify and mitigate risks and escalate to leadership when appropriate • Identify, document, and improve processes with departmental leadership • Analyze each billing client’s revenue cycle, determine issues, and implement solutions • Interface with customers and build relationships to resolve revenue cycle issues efficiently • Ensure bills are accurately processed according to payer requirements and organizational policies • Prepare and present monthly team and member performance analyses to OBS leadership • Maintain relationships with patients, payers, team members, OBS clients, OCHIN Members, vendors, and other stakeholders • Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information in compliance with HIPAA • Adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines • Complete projects and tasks independently with limited direct supervision • Perform other duties supporting the organizational mission and goals • Support member organizations on-site for new software installations as needed; nationwide travel based on business needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field, or a combination of college and 1–2 years of relevant experience • Minimum of four (4) years of department supervisory or leadership roles • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive growth in the Medical Billing field • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, MVA, Workers Comp, and private insurance billing and reimbursement processes • Knowledge of legal requirements for State, Federal, and County policies, procedures, regulations, and release of confidential patient information, including HIPAA • Hospital Billing experience required • Medical Coding experience preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Knowledge of and experience with Epic practice management system preferred • Previous FQHC/RHC experience preferred for PB Operations Manager • Coding experience or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) helpful • Experience using EPIC practice management system strongly preferred for PB Operations Manager • Acute Care EHR software experience required for HB Operations Manager, specifically the HB Resolute module • Experience with HB Claims, Prelude, Cadence, and EpicCare modules preferred • Critical Access Hospital or Method 2 Billing experience highly desired for HB-focused positions • COVID-19 vaccination required, or approved medical/religious exemption before hire date • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment • High-speed internet service • Ability to work in a distraction-free workplace
