📋 Description

• Lead and manage a 10-15-person billing team in the home care space • Oversee preparation and submission of Medicaid and Managed Care claims • Address claim denials, rejections, underpayments, and overpayments • Resubmit claims as needed • Develop and implement billing staff training programs • Collaborate with payroll, client-facing teams, and MCOs • Interface with IT to troubleshoot system issues and develop technical billing solutions • Monitor billing performance and ensure collection targets are met • Ensure billing is completed accurately and on time each month • Reconcile billing accounts to the general ledger • Align billing records with financial statements • Document and formalize billing procedures for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance • Analyze billing data and use Excel to provide actionable management insights • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA • Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid policies • Provide staff development leadership and foster a high-performance culture

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management • 5+ years of experience in Medicaid billing and Managed Care programs, particularly in the home care space ideal • Proven experience managing a team of 10-15 billing staff • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other formulas • In-depth knowledge of Medicaid portals and EDI claims systems • Knowledge of 837, 835, 276, 277, 834, 270, 271, and 999 files • Strong experience with reconciliation processes and general ledger alignment • Ability to collaborate across payroll, client-facing, and IT departments • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for billing discrepancies and system issues • Training and development abilities • Experience documenting and formalizing procedures • Ability to work independently and manage a team remotely • Previous experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software is a plus • Knowledge of Medicaid policies and HIPAA compliance requirements
