📋 Description

• Deliver efficient and accurate healthcare coding services for member clients • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, organizational policies, and applicable coding guidelines • Extract and interpret diagnoses and procedures from patient medical records and electronic health systems • Review patient encounters and assign and validate diagnosis and procedure codes • Support appropriate reimbursement by recommending accurate code assignments for third-party payer claims • Research and obtain additional information from providers or clinical staff via Epic In-Basket messaging • Identify potential high-risk coding trends and apply best practices to optimize revenue • Proactively escalate complex or unique coding issues and collaborate with supervisors to resolve challenges • Apply newly acquired knowledge to future coding scenarios • Recommend process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Certificate of completion from AAPC (CPC Certificate), AHIMA (CCS Certificate), or ADCA (CDC certificate) is required and must be in hand at application • Minimum of 6 months of outpatient certified coding experience • Experience with FQHCs highly desired; candidates with FQHC experience given priority • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis • Position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment • High-speed internet service • Ability to work in a distraction-free workplace • Ability to sit for long periods and use standard office equipment
