📋 Description

• Own day-to-day accounts payable, cash reconciliations, and core general ledger activity • Process, code, and review vendor invoices and employee expense reports using Ramp/Zip and NetSuite • Manage the accounts payable workflow end-to-end • Own vendor and payment reconciliations and analyze root causes of discrepancies and aged items • Prepare and post monthly corporate accounting journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclasses • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for cash and assigned accounts • Reconcile bank and cash accounts and monitor unusual activity • Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end close, including flux analysis and supporting schedules • Identify and implement automation opportunities for repetitive AP and reconciliation work using AI tools and workflow automation • Partner with procurement, budget owners, and vendors to resolve invoice and payment issues • Maintain audit-ready documentation • Administer the travel and expense program, including card issuance, policy enforcement, receipt compliance, and transaction audits • Leverage AI tools within Ramp to pre-audit expenses against policy • Report to the Controller • Help build Ohalo's accounting and finance infrastructure and business processes as the company scales • Ohalo develops novel breeding systems and improved plant varieties to help farmers grow more food with fewer natural resources

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience • Solid understanding of debits/credits and general accounting principles (GAAP) • Self-starter who takes ownership and reasons from first principles • Strong intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Ramp and Zip (or a similar procurement/AP automation platform) preferred • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred • Prior experience at a high-growth or fast-paced company preferred • Comfortable using AI tools to improve repetitive accounting work preferred • No visa sponsorship is available for this position at this time • Must work in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zones
