📋 Description

• Submit medical billing to the appropriate party • Work insurance edits and errors • Follow up on adjudication of claims • Work payer rejections and denials • Review, analyze, and correct denied and rejected claims • Follow up on unpaid accounts to collect payment • Research payer correspondence and phone-call information to ensure accurate account handling • Review and update patient insurance information • Work closely with payer representatives to bring accounts to completion • Report trends and payer issues to management • Communicate with payers, patients, family members, guarantors, hospital departments, and physician practices regarding insurance claims

🎯 Requirements

• High School or GED (Required) • At least 1 year experience with similar work • No certification or licensure required • Analytical skills to gather and interpret data where information or problems are not overly difficult or complex • Clear communication and organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines • Ability to work from Ohio
