📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and maintain the virtual desktop infrastructure • Own the health and performance of the virtual desktop and application publishing environment • Work with infrastructure and security teams to deliver a fast, reliable, and secure remote workspace experience • Communicate and coordinate with internal customers and third-party vendors • Manage operational processes including crisis management, support escalation, change management, release management, and capacity management • Develop technology strategy and roadmaps, including design, documentation, communication, and implementation of infrastructure technology standards • Analyze, plan, justify, schedule, and coordinate specialty-area administrative, operational, and financial initiatives • Manage total cost of ownership, optimization, and efficiency initiatives • Work with suppliers and vendors to produce outcomes aligned with organizational strategy • Oversee reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reporting for quality and performance • Plan, monitor, and control operating and capital budgets • Administer and maintain the Omnissa Horizon VDI environment, including pools, golden images, and connection brokers • Manage application packaging, publishing, and delivery • Design and maintain VMware infrastructure supporting the VDI environment • Monitor VDI performance and capacity and troubleshoot latency, login, and session issues • Manage profile and user data persistence solutions • Patch and update golden images and published application packages • Partner with Security on access policies, MFA, and endpoint compliance • Document architecture, runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures • Evaluate and recommend VDI stack improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Required) • Degree in Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Related Field • 8 years technical engineering experience • Experience administering and maintaining VDI environments built on Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) • Experience managing application publishing and delivery • Experience with VMware infrastructure, including vSphere/ESXi and vCenter • Experience building and maintaining golden images, master templates, and instant/linked clone pools • Experience monitoring VDI performance and capacity and troubleshooting latency, login, and session issues • Experience with profile and user data persistence solutions such as App Volumes and Dynamic Environment Manager • Experience patching and updating golden images and published application packages • Experience partnering with Security to enforce access policies, MFA, and endpoint compliance for VDI sessions • Experience documenting environment architecture, runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures • Ability to evaluate and recommend improvements to the VDI stack • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment • Ability to drive people, process, and technology changes • Proven record of effective leadership • Ability to explain complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences • Knowledge of regulatory and contractual compliance is beneficial • Experience leading large, complex projects across multiple functional departments • Experience in a complex healthcare organization is beneficial
