📋 Description

• Code patient encounters using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines • Prepare and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurers, and other third-party payers, including required documentation • Review encounters and claims for errors or missing information • Collaborate with staff and providers to resolve coding and claims issues • Follow up on rejected, denied, or outstanding claims to drive timely resolution and payment • Communicate regularly with providers and participate in monthly meetings regarding coding and billing questions • Maintain billing system accuracy by managing claim statuses, secondary claims, and payer-specific requirements

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required • Coding certification preferred • Preferred experience with medical billing and coding or working in a healthcare facility • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills • Ability to communicate clearly with providers, staff, and external partners • Must be located within driving distance of one of One Health’s Montana or Wyoming locations • Travel to a site for tech issues or management purposes may be required
