📋 Description

• Review and analyze documentation in medical records • Assign diagnoses and procedure codes based on physician documentation • Code inpatient, outpatient, and/or professional services • Follow the Standards of Ethical Coding established by the American Health Information Management Association • Adhere to official coding guidelines • Perform data entry using keyboard and mouse • Work full-time day shifts in a remote position

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma • 3 years coding experience in ICD-10-CM diagnoses/procedure coding and HCPCS/CPT procedure coding in the acute care inpatient/outpatient hospital or professional services setting • RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC certification, or completion within 6 months of employment • Working knowledge and high level of experience with ICD-10-CM and/or CPT/HCPCS coding classification systems • Working knowledge of MS-DRGs, APCs, MPFS/RVUs, POAs, and HACs, dependent upon coding specialty • A.S. from an accredited Health Information Technology program or B.S. from an accredited Health Information Management program preferred • Working knowledge of the 3M encoder and Epic preferred • Ability to perform repetitive motion involving approximately 25% keyboard and 75% mouse for data entry
