📋 Description

• Review and set up garnishment orders, including preparing orders and correspondence for scanning • Maintain garnishment rules in the payroll system through research and testing to determine proper withholding according to state rules and garnishment type • Write, review, and process reports to automate answer letters and interrogatory responses • Maintain garnishment screens with applicable start and stop dates according to order information and deadlines • Answer and resolve payroll and garnishment questions for courts, agencies, and employees • Collaborate with internal and external departments, including check collection agencies, courts, and lawyers • Process lump-sum payments and determine withholding amounts for quarterly, annual bonus, and other lump-sum payments • Work on special projects, including account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and cross-training with team members

🎯 Requirements

• General knowledge of payroll functions and processing, including bookkeeping, payroll tax, fringe benefits and garnishments • Proficient use of PC spreadsheet applications • Ability to work within established service level deadlines • Ability to multitask • Ability to analyze legal orders • Ability to work efficiently and accurately • Strong attention to detail • Excellent analytical skills • Polished communication skills with appropriate vocabulary and grammar • Ability to maintain professionalism in the face of customer resistance • Superior organizational skills • Customer service orientation • Team-player orientation
