• Support Project Managers with projects at various stages of project planning, environmental compliance, permitting, and documentation • Review project materials, provide analysis, develop spreadsheets, conduct data entry, maintain project tracking, and manage database entries and quality assurance tasks • Support project managers in overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations • Assist in improving program efficiencies and support schedule management • Provide peer trainings as needed • Conduct environmental desktop analysis of sensitive resources • Support environmental construction monitoring • Write and review reports • Interact with company professionals and client contacts • Maintain confidentiality • Follow Company safety rules and OSHA regulations and attend required safety training • Keep current on industry trends through formal training, professional publications, and professional workshops • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in planning, environmental science, biology, ecology, archaeology, or similar field • 1 to 3 years of professional experience as an environmental scientist/specialist, biologist, ecologist, planner, or equivalent in California with experience pertaining to environmental consulting • Knowledge of current environmental regulations, including CESA, FESA, CEQA, NEPA, Section 106, amongst others • Exposure to project management tasks • Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines • Proven leadership skills; identify problems and actively devise appropriate solutions • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills • Outgoing/team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities • Strong organizational and management skills • Ability to communicate in a group-oriented setting to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders • Knowledge of computer-aided software (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, ArcGIS, etc.) • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors • Must exercise safe work practices by following Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at required safety training programs • Ability to maintain confidentiality
