📋 Description

• Define how OpenAI delivers complex systems to Semiconductor customers • Own end-to-end technical delivery across RTL design, verification, and physical implementation workflows • Scope, build, ship, and drive adoption of customer solutions • Translate business outcomes into technical plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and acceptance criteria • Run day-to-day execution across OpenAI FDEs, Researchers, Customer Engineers, and customer teams • Track progress, manage dependencies, make sequencing decisions, and protect the critical path • Drive 0→1 prototypes through MVP and scale • Embed with Semiconductor customer teams to map workflows and success criteria • Shape tools and integrations and translate requirements into delivery plans • Lead production deployments integrating with customer infrastructure, data systems, and engineering toolchains • Partner with Product and Research to align platform components and research work streams with deployment goals • Codify solution patterns and evaluations and package field signals to improve products and models • Define value cases and ROI, including impact hypotheses, baselines, and KPIs • Run pre- and post-deployment measurement and report to executive sponsors • Help define how OpenAI engages Semiconductor customers • Share field insights with Product and Research to guide roadmaps and priorities

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership • Deep expertise in Semiconductor workflows, including RTL design, verification, EDA tooling, and physical implementation • Track record leading large, complex, high-stakes customer engagements with tight coordination and fast decision making, ideally involving AI • Ability to excel in high-ambiguity environments and simplify complex, dynamic work • Ability to move between system-level understanding and execution-level detail • Ability to dive into customer workflows and data, map constraints, sketch architectures, and move ambiguous problems to shipped systems • Strategic thinking and ability to recognize trends across deployments and connect customer needs to scalable, reusable solutions • Strong technical fluency and sequencing judgment • Ability to discuss technical details, pressure-test architectures, and make trade-offs • Experience shipping AI/LLM systems, including solution patterns, integration basics, and production pitfalls • Executive presence and ability to translate technical trade-offs for business leaders • Ability and willingness to work onsite with customers, often 25–50% and sometimes higher • Ability to travel 25–50% • Ability to work remotely from Austin, Texas • Must be able to work in export-controlled environments where applicable
