• Managing a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules. • Creating timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. • Detecting inaccuracies and investigating account discrepancies. • Proposing recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures. • Managing intercompany reconciliation. • Participating in the consolidation process. • Supervising team members in coordinating daily and weekly tasks and activities. • Ensuring team adherence to processes and procedures. • Focusing on operational efficiency and effective tax/accounting execution within the team. • Training and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance. • Recommending personnel management decisions for team members (e.g., promotions, performance evaluations). • Leading or actively participating in structured team discussions, including identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency in client processes. • Leading small projects within the team to implement new tools and methodologies. • Acting as a key liaison between the team and management to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting within an accounting firm. • Strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis. • Proficiency in financial reporting, with the ability to produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. • Sharp analytical skills to detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies. • Problem-solving abilities to propose recommendations for optimizing accounting systems and procedures. • Knowledge of intercompany reconciliation and managing transactions between entities. • Experience in financial consolidation processes for accurate statement preparation. • Leadership and mentoring capabilities to support and guide junior team members. • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance and precision in all tasks. • Proficiency in multitasking while maintaining high efficiency without compromising quality. • Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills to effectively articulate complex accounting matters.
