📋 Description

• Lead a team of about 8-11 Designers • Provide coaching and development through performance feedback, professional development, mentoring, and individual development plans • Track workload, schedules, priorities, and resource allocation • Communicate objectives, priorities, expectations, and business goals • Plan, direct, and coordinate team activities with the larger Design Team • Support the Design Team’s Chief Engineer with budget, direct versus indirect work, and training activities • Collaborate with internal and external customers across segments and functions • Prioritize work, resolve issues, and achieve deliverables on time • Participate in continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives across engineering disciplines • Manage multiple priorities while ensuring team objectives and deliverables are achieved • Create and maintain project documentation, analysis summaries, research records, and support documentation • Analyze and help resolve Engineering issues through verbal or written communication • Participate in initiatives involving metrics, mentoring, organizational effectiveness, and employee development • Enforce proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field • Five (5) or more years of related experience • Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience, including employee development, workload management, team performance, and process improvement initiatives • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills • Ability to foster accountability and influence others • Strong knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems • Experience with a high-level CAD system • Must be available during standard business hours, with availability between 6:00am-4:30pm Eastern Time • Certain positions may require applicants to be U.S. Persons under ITAR or EAR regulations
