• Drive cross-functional asset strategy development, program planning, and execution with R&D and Commercial teams • Develop differentiated, reimbursable products that improve patient lives globally • Align development plans, budgets, resources, team priorities, and Action Point stage-gate requirements • Develop key asset deliverables, including annual goals, PTRS, TPP, NPV, and Development and Commercialization Plans • Reassess strategy and recommend pivots based on external market factors and evidence • Coordinate global affiliate contributions to Development and Commercialization Plans • Track plans, goals, asset performance metrics, risks, issues, and mitigation plans • Inform senior management and ensure timely resolution of emerging issues • Foster cohesive, globally oriented asset teams • Navigate governance touchpoints, stage gates, asset reviews, and follow-through • Support onboarding and coach junior asset managers and newer PS&AM staff • Lead departmental initiatives and contribute to goal setting, forecasting, budget tracking, and resource management • Provide guidance on Otsuka processes, global collaboration, and alliance management • Prepare the PS&AM functional business case review • Develop and maintain standard practices, systems, tools, milestones, metrics, and knowledge bases • Support technical subject matter experts in asset management tools and systems • Establish and monitor OPDC key performance indicators • Manage project management, asset management, and project coordinator roles as needed • Manage PS&AM budget, headcount, indirect expenses, and budget as needed
• Extensive experience of the drug development process and interdependencies of individual development activities • 3 years of managerial or supervision experience supporting R&D, preferably in drug development (preferred) • Strong working knowledge and understanding of the science, therapeutic area, and commercial landscape of assigned programs • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in team and cross-functional environments • Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external business partners and influence others without formal authority • Ability to communicate well at all organizational levels • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to view the larger picture strategically • Strong decision-making and problem-solving/issue-resolution skills • Strong meeting facilitation skills • Experience with budget management • Bachelor’s degree or higher • 10 years of cross-functional Program Management experience in pharmaceutical or biotech, specifically drug or product development, including managerial experience
