📋 Description

• Lead and oversee specialty operations for the launch of a new ultra-orphan specialty product • Develop and execute strategies covering specialty distribution, hub capabilities, pharmacy services, product distribution, buy-and-bill, dispensing, patient support, reimbursement, and logistics • Serve as the primary contact for specialty model considerations during launch • Support site-of-care coordination, therapy delivery, reimbursement readiness, coding transitions, provider reimbursement readiness, and long-term reimbursement sustainability • Develop strategies for longitudinal patient continuity across payer types, care settings, and disease complexity • Establish governance structures and escalation pathways across specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, HUB services, institutional providers, and internal stakeholders • Partner with Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, Patient Access, Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Account Management, Legal, Compliance, Government Pricing, and Finance • Support institutional providers and Centers of Excellence with operational readiness, procurement coordination, reimbursement workflows, and treatment continuity • Oversee day-to-day specialty distribution network operations and regulatory compliance • Implement workflows for order processing, patient enrollment, care coordination, patient services, and drug distribution • Identify and mitigate operational risks affecting launch timelines or product performance • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for launch success, patient outcomes, reimbursement, treatment persistence, escalations, and channel performance • Prepare performance reports for senior leadership and lead quarterly business reviews with vendors • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required • 5–7 years of experience in specialty model development/operations • Experience supporting ultra-rare, specialty, or medical benefit therapies with complex reimbursement and longitudinal patient management requirements • Preferably launched a product and managed direct reports • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, including Brand Marketing and Access Strategy, product management, and patient services • Deep knowledge of specialty operating models, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution, specialty pharmacy, HUB services, buy-and-bill economics, and site-of-care delivery models • Understanding of operational considerations across outpatient and institutional settings • Demonstrated understanding of operational governance across multiple external vendors and institutional stakeholders preferred • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare regulations, and patient-centric programs • Proven track record of driving operational improvements and delivering results
