📋 Description

• Contribute a clinical and scientific perspective to the local execution plan addressing customer challenges, issues, and opportunities • Coordinate execution of field activities • Build, cultivate, and leverage relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations within the territory • Engage Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, Key Decision Makers, healthcare providers, and Patient Advocacy organizations • Contribute to ecosystem and regional business strategies • Provide evidence-based clinical, economic, and humanistic information about Otsuka and its products • Build internal working relationships across the matrix team and execute local medical strategies • Lead special projects and incremental roles within Field Medical Affairs • Disseminate disease-state and healthcare-landscape information to field customers • Provide clinical and data-focused training for promotional and disease-state speakers • Serve on the speaker bureau as needed • Collect and submit medical insights to support evidence-generation and healthcare-solution decisions • Assist with clinical trials, post-marketing studies, Investigator-Sponsored Trials, and health economic outcomes research • Provide clinical expertise and feedback on clinical-trial operational management, site selection, and performance • Mentor peers, new hires, and functional or therapeutic development programs • Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance investigations, Sales Training medical education, and the Field Medical Center of Excellence

🎯 Requirements

• MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences, or Master's degree with equivalent clinical experience • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs • Deep understanding of the interconnectivity of health systems and overall delivery of patient care • Experience working with healthcare professionals and other decision makers • Outstanding business acumen and knowledge of the industry, Otsuka's business model and value proposition, key competitors, and marketplace dynamics • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work cross-functionally • Ability to lead others and project teams strategically • Ability to summarize and communicate complex information and business objectives concisely and effectively • Strong understanding of industry legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation • Demonstrated behaviors aligned with Otsuka Corporate Brand, including Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, and Humility • Ability to travel by air or car up to 70% of the time • Preferred living location is a key city in the territory
