đź“‹ Description

• Contribute a clinical and scientific perspective to the local execution plan addressing customer challenges, issues, and opportunities • Coordinate execution of field activities as part of the ecosystem team • Build, cultivate, and leverage relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations within the territory • Engage Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, Key Decision Makers, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy stakeholders • Contribute to ecosystem strategic business plans and regional business strategy customization • Provide clinical, scientific, and health economic information related to nephrology and immunology disease states and approved Otsuka products • Deliver business objectives extending beyond the territory and impacting Medical Affairs • Provide evidence-based information on the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of Otsuka and its products • Build internal working relationships across the matrix team • Shape and execute local medical strategies under regional Field Medical Affairs leadership • Lead special projects and incremental point roles within Field Medical Affairs • Disseminate disease-state and healthcare-landscape information to customers • Deliver clinical and data-focused training for promotional and disease-state speakers • Support Otsuka's speaker bureau and product educational needs • Collect and submit medical insights to guide decision-making and evidence-generation prioritization • Assist with clinical trials, health economic outcomes research, and medical collaborations • Provide clinical expertise and feedback on clinical-trial operations, site selection, and performance • Mentor peers and support therapeutic development and new-hire development • Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance, Sales Training medical education, and the Field Medical Center of Excellence

🎯 Requirements

• MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences, or Master's degree with equivalent clinical experience • Deep understanding of the interconnectivity of health systems and overall delivery of patient care • Experience working with healthcare professionals and other decision makers • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs • Previous training or experience in immune-mediated kidney disease preferred • Outstanding business acumen and knowledge of the industry, Otsuka's business model and value proposition, key competitors, and marketplace dynamics • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work cross-functionally • Ability to lead others and project teams strategically • Ability to summarize and communicate complex information and business objectives concisely and effectively • Strong understanding of industry legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation • Business travel by air or car, up to 70% of the time depending upon territory size • Preferred living location is a key city in the territory
