• Drive launch strategy and launch preparation activities for all medical affairs deliverables • Oversee global medical affairs planning and activities in cross-functional collaboration with US and global functions • Work closely with medical excellence and operations • Develop and drive the strategic vision for assigned assets • Contribute to the target reimbursable product profile • Lead annual data gap analysis and evolve the product data generation plan through the asset lifecycle • Oversee the global evidence generation review process for Phase IIIB and IV programs, Investigator Sponsored Studies, and non-interventional studies • Oversee core content development and communication strategy plans • Create Global Publication Plans • Drive public dissemination of product-related data • Coordinate medical activities across the US, Europe, Canada, and international regions • Oversee development of manuscripts, presentations, symposiums, and posters • Serve as a therapeutic-area thought leader and interact with experts for feedback on clinical aspects and data generation, interpretation, and dissemination • Provide input into regulatory documents, including product labeling • Establish SOPs and set standards for effective, efficient, accurate, and high-quality medical operations • Maintain accountability for Global Medical Affairs roles dedicated to the Inborn Errors of Metabolism team
• MD, PhD, or PharmD with exceptional leadership experience in the Medical Affairs area • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs • At least 5–7 years of demonstrated supervisory experience • Ability to lead and motivate others • Previous experience launching new medicines, preferably in rare disease • Extensive understanding of company products, clinical development, commercialization strategy, competition, and the pharmaceutical industry • Proven track record of leading and developing a high-performing team • Solid statistical knowledge and ability to interpret study findings and communicate appropriately • Skilled in managing change and influencing people • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to influence in a matrixed environment • Ability to travel up to 30–40% domestically and internationally • Experience or expertise in rare diseases is highly preferred • Must ensure compliance with relevant Corporate Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
