📋 Description

• Lead the Pediatric Teletriage team • Provide visible and consistent support through a rotating schedule including evenings, nights and weekends • Ensure strong team presence, operational excellence and exceptional patient care • Advance innovative care delivery models • Drive measurable clinical and operational performance improvements • Foster accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement • Manage day-to-day clinical operations of the department • Maintain nursing practice standards and uphold the nursing code of ethics • Establish quality initiatives in patient care delivery that promote safety and civility and mitigate bias • Develop and update performance improvement tools, productivity reports, fiscal status and quality statistics • Resolve patient complaints in accordance with policy and in collaboration with support staff • Establish and implement policies and procedures and ensure regulatory compliance • Manage department budget and resources • Represent the OU Health nursing body and collaborate with senior leadership and healthcare professionals • Serve as a resource for physicians and staff • Manage team selection, retention and performance through coaching, feedback, training and recognition • Develop staff capabilities to achieve organizational metrics • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required • Master's in Nursing preferred • 3 to 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience required • Current Registered Nurse License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact Registered Nurse (eNLC) with established residency within 6 months • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire • Nursing specialty or leadership certification(s) preferred • Knowledge of academic medical center structure, service-line structures, institutional governance and hierarchy of decision process • Skills in planning, coordinating and measuring departmental activities • Experience with performance improvement tools, using metrics to drive decisions, maintaining a budget, report writing and solving practical problems • Ability to leverage resources, including technology, to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver on organizational goals • Knowledge of industry standards to aid strategic decisions, problem solve and calculate risk • Ability to think creatively and strategically to mediate with individuals/groups • Awareness of unconscious and systemic bias in care delivery and business operations • Ability to overcome obstacles to cooperation and foster harmonious relations • Ability to maintain integrity and trust among leadership and staff • Ability to lead and motivate individuals, groups/cross-functional teams and provide project management support • Strong written and oral communication skills characterized by candor, openness, integrity and ability to be diplomatic
