📋 Description

• Function as the overall Site Manager during the Site Manager's off rotation • Develop scopes of work for review and approval • Assist with project schedule development and management • Prepare estimates for self-performed work and assist with complete project estimates • Serve as Site Manager for small projects under $5 million when applicable • Manage multiple divisions of work and all means and methods of construction • Solicit subcontractor, vendor, and supplier pricing; assist with bidder selection, negotiate final prices, and draft subcontracts and purchase orders • Prepare cost-to-complete, monthly billing, status, and progress-tracking reports • Review and maintain current architectural, structural, shop, and other drawings in the field • Plan construction procedures, staffing requirements, and phase schedules from specifications • Locate, evaluate, and select subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for the General Conditions budget • Price work, draft changes and change orders, and support customer satisfaction • Coordinate and manage on-site construction from pre-start-up through completion • Schedule subcontractors and secure required materials, equipment, tools, and supply sources • Establish and maintain safety and quality standards • Serve as on-site safety lead when no safety professional is assigned; stop work and discipline or remove personnel when necessary • Make on-site safety and quality decisions and resolve issues while considering financial impact • Procure tools and materials for delivery according to work schedules • Direct supervisors and subcontractors in construction planning, specifications, and phase coordination • Resolve workforce complaints and grievances • Review progress, materials, and cost reports and adjust schedules • Provide expert advice for assigned construction divisions • Meet customers and route requested changes to the Site Manager and Project Manager • Coordinate with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors; ensure required inspections and documentation • Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray's safety program • Manage subordinate team members, including training, work assignment, performance management, complaint resolution, and problem solving • Indirectly manage subcontractors, consultants, and general laborers

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of three years of construction experience, or a minimum of five years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired, specifically within the food and beverage market • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents • Strong people management skills • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones • MS Project and other scheduling software a plus • Strong work ethic; energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to professional development • Ability to think independently and manage without direction • Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside the U.S. • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including frequently lifting/moving up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs • Must be able to work in outdoor, wet/humid, mechanical, elevated, extreme temperature, electrical, explosive, and vibrating environments • Must be willing to work overtime when required
