📋 Description

• Assist the MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers • Develop scopes of work for review and approval • Develop the MEP project schedule within the overall construction schedule • Prepare estimates for MEP self-performed work and assist with the complete project estimate • Coordinate and manage all trades throughout the construction process • Select qualified bidders and negotiate final prices • Prepare cost-to-complete, monthly billing, status, progress, materials, and cost reports • Review and coordinate current field sets of P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, shop, architectural, and structural drawings • Price work and draft changes and change orders for review • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up through completion • Schedule subcontractor work and track subcontractor productivity and installed quantities • Determine and procure required materials, equipment, tools, and supply sources • Set up and close out construction sites • Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not assigned • Participate in the safety portion of the company’s QMS program • Direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures • Resolve workforce complaints and grievances with supervisory personnel • Adjust work schedules based on reports and direction from the MEP Project Manager • Establish, communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety and quality programs • Maintain the company QMS program and generate continuous-improvement reports and traceability • Lead subordinate supervisors and support staff; interview, hire, train, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; address complaints and resolve problems • Train newer team members

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience, or a minimum of 15 years of related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents • Strong people-management skills • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones • MS Project and other scheduling software a plus • Strong work ethic; energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to professional development • Ability to think independently and manage without direction • No visa sponsorship available • Must be able to travel to project sites throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside the U.S. • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, talk, and hear • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally • Accurate near and distant vision • Ability to work around wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, high places, fumes/airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risks, explosives, vibration, and moderate-to-loud noise • Overtime may be required • May lead multiple subordinate supervisors and support staff
