• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing facility in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations • Oversee quality care and analyze the entire operation of the nursing facility • Manage the overall operational functioning of the facility • Monitor census daily • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct facility programs and activities • Develop reporting on budget projections, revenue, and expenses, and ensure budget conformance • Develop and maintain written policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice • Develop policies and procedures and hold direct reports accountable • Model the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values • Participate in community groups and maintain relationships with local hospital leadership • Monitor industry regulations, laws, and compliance updates and implement appropriate changes • Monitor staffing levels and adherence to industry and company standards • Direct execution of policy and procedural changes • Resolve HR issues and risk management situations within the facility • Oversee capital improvements • Participate in advisory committees • Ensure facility personnel, residents, and visitors follow safety regulations, including fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, and infection control • Develop and maintain a strong reputation within the industry and community • Build relationships with HR, Therapy, Clinical, and Finance support teams to meet or exceed goals • Negotiate vendor contracts • Support clinical efforts by understanding quality assurance measures and holding personnel accountable • Monitor collections and accounts receivable daily • Develop and execute ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover • Review Quality Measures regularly • Assist survey team members by providing information that may prevent deficiency citations • Conduct daily meetings during facility inspections to discuss survey findings and formulate corrective action plans • Review deficiencies noted during exit conferences and provide information to support removal or reduction of deficiencies • Assist in developing plans of correction with timetables and monitoring methods to prevent recurrence • Manage and oversee multiple levels of employees, including hiring, training, budgeting, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, complaint handling, problem resolution, and terminations
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent • Master’s Degree or MBA preferred • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations • Ability to solve practical problems involving limited standardization • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products • Must maintain licensing credentials for an Administrator • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds • Prolonged use of desktop or laptop computer • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, read, or hear • Frequent use of office equipment including copier/scanner/fax, telephone, and calculator
