📋 Description

• Pitch and write in-depth explainers, reviews and “best-of” listicles • Write quick-turnaround daily personal finance stories based on the news cycle and seasonality • Use data to inform MoneyWatch vertical priorities and adjust content decisions • Optimize headlines and copy for SEO • Update and maintain a library of existing articles • Assist the senior editor and managing editor with content planning and calendar management • Participate in broader strategic discussions with partners • Create informative commerce stories for CBS News’ MoneyWatch: Managing Your Money vertical to drive revenue through clicks and conversions

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of writing experience, preferably in business, personal finance or affiliate marketing (lead generation) • Ability to write clean, clear and accurate content on deadline without sacrificing CBS News standards • Ability to interpret data and metrics to inform story ideation and performance • Experience with affiliate marketing and knowledge of the space • Business mindset and comfort using content to generate revenue • Strong understanding of sponsored content and affiliate links • Experience optimizing content for search • CPE certification is a plus but not required
