PFA positions itself around health equity and patient advocacy, partnering with hospitals, health systems, states and employers to enroll eligible patients and manage much of the administrative work on the hospital’s behalf.

📋 Description

• Partner with operations, finance, patient advocacy, executive leadership, and other stakeholders to understand business objectives and operational challenges • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to identify business needs and improvement opportunities • Document current-state and future-state workflows, business processes, and requirements • Translate complex business needs into product requirements and implementation plans • Help define product vision, priorities, and roadmap recommendations • Create and maintain product backlogs, epics, features, and user stories • Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and remove delivery obstacles • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives • Support prioritization using business value, effort, risk, and strategic alignment • Ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives and user expectations • Define workflows, functional requirements, and integration needs for internal and third-party technology solutions • Collaborate with technology teams and external vendors to evaluate capabilities and align solutions with business requirements • Coordinate implementation, testing, and deployment activities • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes through technology • Support solution adoption and evaluate delivered business value • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership • Build alignment across business and technology teams • Develop implementation plans, training materials, and adoption strategies • Support organizational change management activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field • 6+ years of experience in healthcare technology, product management, systems design consulting, business analysis, or related roles • Experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating them into technology solutions • Experience designing workflows and documenting business processes and functional requirements • Experience working within Agile software development environments • Experience supporting implementation of internally developed or third-party technology solutions • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously • Preferred: experience with Medicaid, healthcare payers, revenue cycle, patient engagement, care management, eligibility, or enrollment-related processes • Preferred: experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including APIs, HL7, or FHIR • Preferred: experience with workflow design, process improvement, and operational transformation initiatives • Preferred: experience with internally developed software and commercial off-the-shelf platforms • Preferred: familiarity with software configuration, system integrations, and technical implementation teams • Preferred: familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar product management tools • Preferred: experience in fast-growing healthcare organizations
