📋 Description

• Establish engineering standards, architectural principles, and development practices across the organization • Drive technical strategy for AI-assisted software development, including governance, quality assurance, and responsible AI adoption • Lead architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering decisions for complex initiatives • Identify systemic engineering challenges and champion platform-wide productivity, quality, and scalability improvements • Evaluate emerging AI development tools, agentic engineering platforms, and automation technologies • Define measurement frameworks for effectiveness, safety, and quality of AI-assisted engineering workflows • Build consensus among senior technical stakeholders and align engineering investments with business objectives • Partner with engineering leadership, architects, and technology vendors to shape engineering capabilities • Mentor engineers and leaders on systems thinking, engineering excellence, AI fluency, and modern software development • Influence organization-wide AI adoption, developer experience, engineering quality, trust, and security

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to shape technical direction across multiple teams or large engineering organizations • Extensive experience designing scalable distributed systems and cloud-native platforms • Proven capability to drive organization-wide engineering improvements and technology adoption • Deep architectural thinking focused on systemic challenges • Strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, governance, and responsible adoption • Expertise evaluating technology investments from technical, operational, security, and business perspectives • Advanced proficiency using modern AI tools to improve software development workflows and engineering productivity • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence without authority • Experience mentoring senior engineers and developing high-performing technical organizations • Valid right to work in the United States • Valuable additional experience with autonomous agent systems in production • Valuable additional experience with multi-step AI workflows, orchestration, or durable execution frameworks • Valuable additional experience with retrieval systems, embeddings, vector databases, or contextual knowledge architectures • Valuable additional experience creating evaluation frameworks for AI-generated outputs and agent performance • Valuable additional experience implementing AI governance models • Valuable additional experience with hosted foundation model platforms and enterprise AI services • Valuable additional experience defining engineering career frameworks, standards, or technical competency models • Valuable additional experience leading engineering productivity, developer experience, or platform engineering initiatives
