📋 Description

• Complete company-provided classroom, safety, equipment, and hands-on field training • Assist experienced technicians with preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs of UPS systems, battery plants, DC power systems, PDUs, inverters, and related equipment • Identify and troubleshoot electrical and electronic system faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, test equipment, and manufacturer documentation • Support installation, commissioning, and replacement of UPS systems, batteries, battery monitoring systems, and related critical power equipment • Perform visual inspections, collect equipment readings, document findings, and report potential problems to senior technicians • Use multimeters, battery testing equipment, and other electronic diagnostic tools safely and correctly • Assist with battery testing, battery replacement, equipment cleaning, and routine maintenance • Complete service reports, maintenance records, timekeeping, and other required documentation • Communicate with customers, supervisors, dispatchers, and field technicians • Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, company safety procedures, and customer site requirements • Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, safety gear, and company vehicles • Participate in ongoing technical training and work toward completing service assignments independently • Support additional field service activities as business and customer needs evolve • Support customers throughout DFW and the surrounding region

🎯 Requirements

• Basic understanding of electronics, electrical systems, AC/DC theory, mechanical systems, or electronic troubleshooting gained through technical or career school training, community college coursework, apprenticeship or certificate program, military technical training, or hands-on work, laboratory, or field experience • Ability to read or learn to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment documentation • Basic experience using hand tools and electronic test equipment, including a digital multimeter • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability • Willingness to complete required training and learn from experienced technicians • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices • Professional communication and customer-service skills • Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic service reports • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service territory, including overnight and multi-day travel • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after required training • Ability to pass required pre-employment drug screening and background check, where applicable • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move equipment and materials weighing up to 100 pounds • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and work in confined or restricted-access areas • Ability to work safely around energized electrical equipment and in mission-critical customer environments • Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance and access to customer facilities • Ability to meet company vehicle requirements • Willingness to continue learning and develop a long-term career in critical power, data centers, telecommunications, or other mission-critical industries
