📋 Description

• Deliver web platform initiatives supporting public-facing school websites • Develop, evolve, and implement Pearson’s virtual online learning platform • Manage web content management system maintenance and production support • Perform front-end and back-end development • Optimize websites for mobile-first experiences • Monitor and optimize site performance and page speed • Translate UI/UX wireframes and designs into production code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Track project issues and establish and verify acceptance criteria • Partner with Software Development QA before releases • Provide product demonstrations • Perform light scrum master duties as needed • Analyze business needs and requirements and collaborate on technical solutions • Write technical specifications, requirements, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guidance • Support day-to-day development team work and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or a related field • Minimum 4 years of experience in a high-tech environment developing object-oriented web applications • Experience building APIs • Experience with the Microsoft Cloud stack, particularly Azure technologies • Familiarity with asynchronous development practices • Proficiency with Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence • Understanding of website development lifecycle and methodologies • Experience managing and administering web content management systems • Proficiency and hands-on experience in JavaScript, AngularJS or a similar framework, and HTML/CSS • AEM experience is a plus • Experience using source control such as Git and Azure DevOps • Experience working on an Agile team • Understanding of marketing and sales funnels, customer journeys, and positioning • Ability to independently solve technical problems in a virtual work environment • Ability to analyze business needs, collaborate on technical solutions, and write technical specifications or requirements • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence and quality control • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and requests • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing, highly virtual environment • Ability to demonstrate aptitude and experience with examples, samples, and source code
