📋 Description

• Provide academic support to students through phone calls, LibCal appointments, email, and case/ticket systems • Develop detailed, course-specific webinars based on course content • Assess and update webinars for clarity, accuracy, and relevance • Facilitate live weekly webinars and respond to learner questions through webinar chat • Own assigned courses within the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program • Maintain curriculum updates, course revisions, course reviews, and course quality assurance initiatives • Collaborate with Product Design teams on course revisions under Program Director direction • Evaluate written examinations and provide feedback on subjective examinations and projects • Evaluate Penn Foster student skill submissions for externship requirements when needed • Provide backup faculty support for Ashworth student externship skill submissions • Support Ashworth Veterinary Academy students through emails, tickets, and LibCal phone appointments • Own assigned courses within the Ashworth Veterinary Technician program • Evaluate written examinations and provide feedback within assigned Ashworth courses • Submit instructional and program improvement recommendations based on course feedback, student outcomes, and professional expertise • Support initiatives to reduce attrition and improve student progression • Collaborate with academic leadership and instructional design partners on new instructional delivery methods • Assist with and monitor social media activity when warranted • Attend and actively participate in department meetings • Support onboarding and training of new instructors • Complete required professional development and training • Maintain active status for required professional licenses and credentials • Participate in accreditation-related activities • Provide instructional, externship evaluation, and site approval backup coverage as required • Perform additional instructional and student support duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field • Credentialed Veterinary Technician who graduated from an AVMA-accredited program • Minimum of three years of clinical experience • Current license in good standing with the applicable state licensing board • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact supportively with students, alumni, team members, and employers • Ability to think quickly and communicate effectively and efficiently • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups • Excellent time-management skills • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and learning management systems • Strong understanding of how technology can be applied to new instructional methods • Sound judgment when initiating actions and making decisions within established precedents or well-defined policies, with direction and review from the Veterinary Academy Director • Ability to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team culture • Knowledge of and ability to facilitate learning related to veterinary technology course content • All employees must reside and perform work within the United States • Must be willing and able to travel as needed • Must complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements • Must complete employment eligibility verification via Form I-9 • Preferred: Previous teaching experience in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program • Preferred: Experience with CVTEA requirements
