📋 Description

• Meet service level agreements for database performance, availability, backups, and security • Install Microsoft SQL Server instances in standalone, Windows Failover Cluster, Availability Groups, AWS, and SQL Server RDS configurations • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain security and audit solutions • Implement CIS and SCSEM hardening standards • Review NESSUS scans and remediate vulnerabilities and database compliance findings • Schedule, monitor, and validate database backups and restores • Monitor metrics collection jobs for performance, availability, and capacity planning through Datadog • Schedule and apply database upgrades, patches, and certificates • Follow best practices, work plans, checklists, and defined processes • Support application teams proactively • Participate in project technical reviews and lead work product reviews • Develop and maintain database support documentation • Resolve complex database incidents and problems in a timely manner • Engage SMEs or vendors for complex incidents as required • Implement customer database change requests • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations for the production environment

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, Associate's Degree and 7 years of experience, or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of experience • Minimum 5 years Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, including extensive production support • Experience virtualizing Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022 • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server high availability options, including transactional replication, log shipping, and Always On • Experience with SQL Maintenance Plans, SQL Agent jobs, and Ola Hallengren's Maintenance Solutions • Experience with MS Windows Security Domains, Networking, and Group Managed Service Accounts • Experience supporting databases on AWS EC2 and RDS instances • Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native databases using Terraform and CI/CD automation with GitLab and Liquibase • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently remotely and collaborate effectively with team members • Experience or knowledge of Transact-SQL is a plus
