📋 Description

• Provide expertise and direction in developing and modifying computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems • Design, develop, code, test, debug, and customize software applications to meet predefined requirements • Implement, deploy, maintain, enhance, and support enterprise mainframe applications • Use COBOL, TSO, JCL, Endevor, CICS, IDMS ADS/ADSO, IDMS Utilities, IDMS DC online features, IDMS, and DB2 • Troubleshoot production problems and provide application support and resolutions • Incorporate performance, scalability, usability, and security provisions • Collaborate with end users to define new system requirements • Work in a team environment and mentor less experienced developers

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years of experience with a BS/BA, or 6 years of experience with a high school education • Experience writing, compiling, and executing IDMS/ADSO COBOL programs • Technical implementation expertise designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise mainframe applications using COBOL • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance • Preferred: 5+ years of COBOL, VSAM, JCL, and DB2 experience • Preferred: Current or prior U.S. Department of Agriculture experience • Preferred: Cloud Practitioner certification or 3 years of cloud experience • Preferred: Java and web development experience • Working knowledge of Agile practices such as Scrum and Test Driven Development
