📋 Description

• Inform customer decision-making and improve population health through real-world data analytics, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations • Educate customers on the clinical and economic impact of Pfizer medicines and products • Plan and execute independent Medical strategy and customer engagement within the assigned territory • Develop and execute medical account plans while representing Medical Affairs and sharing customer insights • Provide objective, scientifically sound medical information through pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational programs, HOPEs, non-interventional studies, and collaborations • Develop and implement Real-World Evidence-based outcomes tools to improve patient care, close quality gaps, and address population health management • Respond to medical and scientific questions from customers regarding Pfizer products and disease states • Present to payers, managed care organizations, formulary decision makers, and regional medical advisory boards • Facilitate communication between regional and national healthcare organizations and headquarters Medical Affairs • Facilitate Pfizer-sponsored collaborative, quality-improvement, and non-interventional research projects • Provide medical support and guidance for Health Information Technology initiatives • Analyze clinical healthcare information-system workflows to reduce care gaps and improve care efficiency and population health • Develop clinical content and innovative HIT tools and resources • Provide expertise on electronic data collection and planning for Field Medical colleagues • Work cross-functionally to identify, design, and deploy HIT solutions aligned with Pfizer Medical goals • Create internal and external tools, resources, and educational materials • Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical and professional associations • Enhance customer recognition through collaborative projects, publications, and healthcare awards • Review scientific literature, competitive developments, and attend conferences • Collaborate with Pfizer colleagues to understand customer outcomes and data-analysis needs • Manage multiple field-based projects, prioritize activities, and demonstrate sound judgment • Educate healthcare organizations on patient-care gaps and guideline-based care • Serve on Medical, therapeutic-area, and cross-functional committees • Mentor and support onboarding partners • Maintain required training, professional licensure, and compliance with applicable policies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a health science required • PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree preferred • 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; 8+ years with a master’s degree; 6+ years with a terminal doctorate degree • Experience in clinical, formulary, and/or other management • Experience in managed care, pharmaceutical industry, and/or quality improvement • Data analytics and/or HEOR experience with strong methodological skills in study design, data analysis, and interpretation • Significant experience interacting with payers and other organized customers • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills, including managing multiple customer demands and handling conflict constructively • Diverse leadership experience and ability to influence and collaborate with peers • Strong analytic skills • Strong comprehension and communication skills for communicating scientific information clearly and concisely • Ability to prioritize multiple demands and use situational leadership skills • Ability to travel, including overnight travel • Ability to operate a Pfizer company car with a valid U.S. driver’s license • Must regularly fly and be within a 2-hour drive of a major airport • Flexibility to travel 40–50% of the time • Valid U.S. driver’s license and compliant driving record; DUI/DWI or other impaired-driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies candidates • Ability to occasionally work weekends • Candidates must reside within the New England region or be willing to relocate; preferred locations include Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Upstate New York • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer • Permanent U.S. work authorization required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is unavailable • Maintain professional licensure • Preferred: field-based medical/outcomes experience; healthcare data analysis; Clinical Informatics or HIT expertise; residency or fellowship; Microsoft Access, statistics software, or data programming; U.S. healthcare HIT application; EHR optimization/customization; innovative project start-up and management; understanding of the U.S. healthcare system
