Phoenix Ecommerce Technologies is an ecommerce infrastructure and payments platform built for high-volume direct-to-consumer (D2C) merchants. It provides a headless, no-code customizable checkout and funnel builder, AI-powered decline recovery and payment routing, tokenized vaulting, subscription and billing management, and analytics to optimize approvals, conversions, and lifetime value. The product emphasizes higher authorization rates, faster wallet-native checkouts (Apple Pay, Google Pay), multi-processor support, and retention automation for subscription and direct-response brands.

📋 Description

• Turn first-pass pages into polished, production-ready UI • Design and build new flows end to end from idea to shipped on the Storybook component system • Participate in merchant calls and demos • Read support tickets and watch session replays to inform design decisions • Own conversion, activation, and time-to-value outcomes for redesigned flows • Write and run Playwright test cases • Use Claude Code, Claude Design, and other AI tools to ship quickly • Own the design-to-ship loop for at least one product area • Collaborate with the product lead and respond directly to merchant feedback

🎯 Requirements

• Strong designer's eye and attention to visual details • Commercial instinct focused on merchant outcomes, conversion, and activation • Fluency in modern front-end frameworks • Ability to ship your own front-end work • UX depth across flows, states, and mobile interfaces • Experience building with Claude and similar AI tools • Ability to iterate quickly in fast-paced, resource-constrained, high-intensity startup environments • Storybook and design-system experience • Playwright automated testing experience • Commerce, checkout, payments, or conversion-rate experience is a plus • Motion and interaction design experience is a plus • Design-school background in UX is a plus • Experience running a store, product, or side project with real users is a plus
