📋 Description

• Produce solution designs for Salesforce and, in coordination with the team, AWS components of environments • Determine sandbox type and sizing for regression and performance testing • Define metadata configuration and Salesforce environment refresh approaches through the VA Salesforce governance group (DTC) • Define onboarding sequences for product groups entering shared environments • Serve as the technical interface with DTC on sandbox provisioning and control • Support environment designation, naming, broader Salesforce Org fit, and sandbox control model decisions • Confirm test data approaches and restrictions, including data representativeness, production data use, and PII handling • Design Salesforce integration approaches and recommend appropriate patterns for each interface • Apply Salesforce data sharing and visibility models in environment design • Troubleshoot Salesforce performance issues and metadata conflicts • Support Salesforce test data factories and updates to automated test cases • Consider downstream and cross-product impacts when designing sandbox functionality • Maintain compliance with VA security standards and federal requirements, including commercial and GovCloud/FedRAMP differences • Collaborate with federal clients, delivery teams, product, testing, infrastructure, and technical stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience • Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree • High School Diploma with 10 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree • Hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex and other programmatic customizations, plus declarative flows and configuration experience • Experience producing Salesforce solution designs, including metadata configuration and sandbox strategy • Experience evaluating and recommending Salesforce integration approaches from multiple available patterns • Experience with Salesforce data sharing and visibility models • Experience troubleshooting Salesforce performance issues and resolving metadata conflicts • Experience building or maintaining Salesforce test data factories and updating automated test cases for environment or release changes • Understanding of federal compliance considerations affecting Salesforce solutions, including commercial and GovCloud/FedRAMP environments • Ability to assess a project's full scope, including downstream and cross-product impacts • Strong hands-on orientation; able to configure, build, and troubleshoot directly • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams • Ability to shift focus between competing priorities in a fast-paced environment • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance • Availability during core business hours of 8am–5pm ET
