📋 Description

• Lead requirements and analysis for assigned Department of the Interior modernization initiatives • Conduct stakeholder discovery and process reviews • Define business rules, user needs, data requirements, and acceptance criteria • Use operational data and data-quality analysis to validate business rules and support requirements definition and user acceptance testing • Translate current-state workflows into future-state requirements for software, low-code, automation, data, or AI-enabled solutions • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and traceable requirements • Coordinate user acceptance testing and drive issues to resolution with stakeholders and delivery teams • Analyze data flows, system handoffs, controls, and integration needs • Maintain decision logs, requirements, trackers, and client-ready documentation • Work directly with federal sponsors and cross-functional delivery teams • Lead discussions when needed and operate effectively when requirements are incomplete or changing

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant business analysis, business transformation, systems analysis, or consulting experience • Hands-on experience using Python for data preparation and analysis • Experience using SQL to query, join, and validate data • Hands-on experience leading requirements for software, automation, data, or digital-modernization work • Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria • Experience analyzing business processes and data flows • Experience coordinating user acceptance testing with business stakeholders • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Judgment to work directly with senior stakeholders and technical teams • Must successfully complete background investigation, suitability, credentialing, and system-access requirements applicable to a Moderate Risk Public Trust position • Bachelor's degree preferred • Experience supporting federal programs or working in federal consulting or professional services preferred • Workforce-track experience with HR, training, policy, service-delivery, payroll, or workforce systems and processes preferred • Data-track experience with intake, payments/disbursements, financial workflows, APIs, data governance, or system integration preferred • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint/Microsoft 365, or similar low-code and collaboration environments preferred • Hands-on use of generative AI or LLM tools for analysis, requirements, workflow redesign, research, or prototyping preferred

• Full-Time, W2 employment • Primarily remote work within the U.S. • Occasional travel to Department of the Interior locations may be required based on project needs • 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday schedule • Required availability during DOI core hours of 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. ET
