• Serve as the internal authority on grants for executive, operational, clinical, and finance leadership • Own a national grant pipeline and calendar across states where the organization operates or intends to operate • Pursue federal, state, county, municipal, corporate, and foundation funding opportunities • Lead grant application development, including narratives, logic models, staffing plans, evaluation plans, and budget narratives • Supervise, train, and develop grant-writing staff across states • Build grant strategy supporting market entry, new sites, new service lines, and expanded access • Evaluate opportunities based on growth impact, resource requirements, match obligations, and probability of award • Report portfolio performance, including dollars awarded, dollars under management, win rate, programs, and access created • Ensure active awards are compliant, timely reported, and audit ready • Track spend-down with Finance and address under-utilization or allowable-cost questions • Manage close-outs, no-cost extensions, carryover requests, renewals, and competitive re-applications • Train operational and business development staff on grant-related field functions • Assist the Vice President of Growth in managing business development teams, field priorities, territory coverage, and performance expectations • Use conversion data, admission yield, payer mix, and level-of-care fit to direct field efforts • Track activity, productivity, and return on investment in Salesforce and maintain reporting dashboards • Conduct ride-alongs, coaching, and market-based training • Develop future team leaders • Drive grant-required marketing and outreach activity through Marketing and Communications
• Bachelor’s degree • Seven or more years of progressive experience in grant development and administration, including responsibility for awards through compliance and close-out • Three or more years of leadership experience managing staff or teams • Working knowledge of federal and state grant administration, allowable costs, match requirements, and audit expectations • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce • Ability to make decisions from data rather than anecdote • Strong writing, financial, and analytical skills • Ability to represent an organization with funders and senior external partners • Valid driver’s license • Ability to travel independently by car and air
