• Own and implement strategic projects throughout Pinnacle East’s TX and WI markets related to physical plant and construction initiatives • Coordinate and manage strategic construction projects from concept and scope development through bidding, contract development, construction, final sign-off, and close-out • Develop a 5- to 10-year rolling capital forecast with the Director of Construction • Evaluate potential property acquisitions for physical plant condition, risks, and capital cost impacts • Complete site assessments for Pinnacle communities and help set goals to improve assessment scores • Analyze market data to identify areas of opportunity and vulnerability • Set goals to improve operational weaknesses based on site assessments • Co-lead bi-weekly calls with Plant and Maintenance Leadership teams • Track CapEx budgets and report capital spending status to the Director of Construction and VP of Operations • Disseminate information and training regarding CapEx policies and project approvals, implementation, closeout, and financial matters • Send project recaps to Market Leaders as needed • Provide strategic project and capital-spend updates on Pinnacle leadership calls • Identify technologies, suppliers, and external partners to reduce construction and physical plant operating expenses • Participate in interviews and provide feedback on candidates for Maintenance Director positions • Model Pennant Culture and set expectations around culture • Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Construction or VP of Operations
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language • Must be able to complete a heavy workload within established time frames • Must be able to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate • Must meet the minimum age requirements established by the state regulations governing the community • Must be of good moral character • Must be able to obtain criminal history clearance • Must comply with all training requirements • Must be in good standing with state and federal government • Must not be listed on any government exclusion list • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant • Ability to remain calm and level-headed in emergencies • Well groomed and professional • Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel • Ability to seek out and incorporate new methods and principles • Follows written and oral instructions • Knowledge of computers, e-mail, spreadsheets, software apps, and document word processing • Ability to travel for training and work-related activities • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no major violations • Ability to move frequently throughout the workday and perform physical tasks for extended periods • Ability to stand and/or walk up to eight hours a day • Ability to sit, kneel, bend, reach, and stretch frequently • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds and support up to 70 pounds • Expected to pursue continuing education in Construction, Life Safety, and Facilities Management best practices
