📋 Description

• Provide technical support to customers primarily onsite and secondarily by telephone/computer • Install, demonstrate, qualify, troubleshoot, repair, and alter Conair equipment across multiple product lines • Perform startup, repair, and preventative maintenance service work at customer sites • Apply troubleshooting techniques during repairs, startups, and assessments • Arrange, schedule, and perform travel to and from jobsites, including possible international travel • Document service actions and expenses through service reports, expense reports, and product alteration records • Provide technical telephone support for customers, Sales, and other technicians • Research and secure answers to technical problems • Provide backup specialist support on at least one product line • Conduct plant-floor training classes for customers on equipment operation and maintenance • Provide after-hours technical support through an on-call rotation • Practice Conair service ethics concerning safety, attitude, appearance, conversation, and work quality • Report to the Field Service Supervisor • Work primarily at customer facilities, with some office-based phone support and administrative tasks; position may be based in Franklin, PA or a home office

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology (or related field) preferred and/or five (5)+ years of experience with industrial equipment similar to Conair equipment • Position typically expects up to ten (10) years of direct/relevant experience • Solid verbal and written communication skills • Ability to analyze and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, as well as software code • Familiarity with microprocessor controls and programs • Good interpersonal skills and ability to provide high-quality customer service • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask • Ability to evaluate and respond appropriately to situations to the benefit of the customer • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, SAP, and AutoCAD • Ability to travel to customer jobsites, including international locations • Ability to provide after-hours technical support as part of an on-call rotation
