📋 Description

• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Associate Faculty in the First-Year Experience program • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty questions, concerns, and day-to-day support • Monitor faculty performance and provide timely feedback and coaching • Address performance concerns and document coaching or improvement plans • Partner with Course Chairs on faculty evaluations, performance concerns, retention, and staffing decisions • Review approximately 50 active course sections each week for instructional quality, faculty engagement, grading, student outreach, and adherence to expectations • Analyze participation, assignment completion, persistence, outreach, and student outcome metrics • Conduct course reviews and classroom observations as needed • Provide actionable recommendations to improve instructional practices and student success • Support onboarding and development of new Associate Faculty • Coordinate faculty learning opportunities and collaborate with the Center for Teaching and Learning • Collaborate with Course Chairs, advising, academic leaders, and student support teams on retention, persistence, and student achievement • Participate in first-year student success and educational effectiveness initiatives • Teach four First-Year Experience courses annually • Model excellent instruction, student engagement, responsiveness, and instructional quality

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited institution • Minimum of three years of higher education teaching experience • Experience supervising, coaching, mentoring, or supporting faculty or instructional staff • Ability to leverage data, analytics, and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive improvement • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and consistency • Experience developing online courses at the college level (preferred) • Familiarity with Blackboard or similar learning management systems (preferred) • Understanding of or experience using AI tools in content creation (preferred) • Online teaching experience in higher education (preferred) • Must be physically located and perform work from an approved state; position is not approved in Alaska, California, Hawaii, or New York
