📋 Description

• Record and consolidate financial transactions and financial notes for Prime Coalition and its disregarded entities in accordance with GAAP and IRS regulations • Record financial transactions against required dimensions, including restrictions and project codes • Calculate and record journal entries for monthly allocations using approved methodologies • Record transactions for investment programs, including assets, liabilities, interest accruals, cash management, and investment returns • Record inter-company transactions • Deliver detailed data reconciliations and analytical support to the Director, Finance • Ensure accounting data is accurate and ready for monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations • Maintain secure file locations for accounting-related documents • Support KPI tracking and the day-to-day operations of the catalytic investing program • Maintain employee training decks for accounting processes • Oversee accounts payable platforms, including coding, approval workflows, documentation, payables, payments, and employee expenses • Support revenue and receivables entries and monthly reconciliation between financial software and CRM/fundraising software • Assist with annual audit schedules and supporting documentation • Support tax preparation, including schedules for Form 990 and state filings • Maintain audit-ready documentation • Issue annual 1099 and 1042-S forms per IRS regulations • Support compliance with statutory law and financial regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field and 4–7 years of progressive responsibility in finance, accounting, or tax experience; or 7–10 years of equivalent professional experience • Proficiency with accounting software(s), with Sage Intacct preferred, and banking platforms • Strong foundation in accounting principles, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting • Experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close activities, and financial recordkeeping • Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and well-supported financial records with strong attention to detail • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data reconciliation • Ability to independently manage recurring processes and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and strong internal controls • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills • Commitment to Prime Coalition’s mission and values • Active participation in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging training • Collaborative approach with humility • Motivation to mitigate climate change • Self-motivation and flexibility • Willingness to be a productive team member while respecting differences and working toward shared goals • Preferred: Experience supporting audit or tax preparation processes • Preferred: Understanding of nonprofit accounting related to 501(c)(3) organizations • Preferred: Familiarity with investment-related transactions, reconciliations, valuations, or reporting • Preferred: Experience with Sage Intacct, Emburse Nexonia, Raiser’s Edge NXT, or similar platforms • Preferred: Experience using technology to improve workflows, reduce manual steps, and strengthen documentation and reporting • Demonstrated fluency in financial statements and accounting procedures
