📋 Description

• Review prior account activity and contact payers or use payer websites to determine the status of outstanding accounts receivable • Correct claims or provide requested information to payers • Complete workflows and detailed account notes to drive collections, variances, and technical denials toward resolution • Interpret and apply managed care contract terms for payer resolution • Escalate accounts to payers, internal departments, or patients when appropriate to minimize aging • Identify trends, repeated problems, and charge corrections and report them to management • Contribute to the Patient Financial Services department matrix and assist coworkers as time allows • Monitor productivity and quality, identify root causes of quality problems, and act on improvement opportunities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned • Two (2) years of medical billing, customer service, follow up and/or medical office experience • CRCA preferred • CRCR preferred • Communication skills • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Medical billing, follow up and/or medical office skills • Analytical skills • Attention to detail • Professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, in-service meetings, current literature, and professional affiliations
