📋 Description

• Provide technical support to customers throughout the life of a machine • Advise and physically assist customers in identifying problems associated with equipment operation • Offer innovative solutions to improve customer efficiency and economics • Travel to customer locations to install, start up, maintain, and troubleshoot labeling machines • Train customer operators and technicians on system setup, operation, changeover, and maintenance • Ensure customers have required repair parts and adequate spare component stock • Prepare and submit detailed trip reports identifying problems, actions taken, and recommended next steps • Provide technical assistance by phone and remote connection • Service West Coast customers

🎯 Requirements

• Associate Degree in related technical field (mechanical and electrical) or 6 years related/equivalent experience in the packaging industry • 3+ years in custom machine manufacturing or mechanical repair/maintenance • Excellent knowledge of mechanical/electrical technical applications, specifically PLCs, servo driven motors and controls • Ability to read and understand complex engineering designs, including wiring schematics • Good verbal and written communication skills • Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel • Good interpersonal and organizational skills • Good problem solving skills and independent judgment • Able to travel 85% of the time and work overtime as required • Ability to work independently, maintain a positive attitude and work well with all levels of management and operators • Must be eligible to work in the United States
