📋 Description

• Build and own the sales and operations planning process • Stand up a rolling demand forecast with sales and engineering • Build a capacity model covering contract manufacturer throughput, equipment constraints, and cell supply • Run a recurring planning cadence reconciling demand and capacity • Define planning inputs, outputs, review frequency, and decision ownership • Run scenario planning for demand acceleration, supplier slips, and capacity changes • Surface and escalate capacity and supply constraints with options and trade-offs • Own long-lead cell capacity planning with the cell procurement team • Track material availability against the build plan • Own the part shortage list and drive recovery plans to closure • Place and manage purchase orders against forecasts and production schedules • Follow up with suppliers on ship dates and expedite at-risk orders • Run material readiness reviews with contract manufacturers before build events • Partner with sourcing, procurement, and supplier quality on supplier performance, capacity, quality holds, and corrective actions • Help define and hire a dedicated materials execution role and transition day-to-day execution to that role as volume grows

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in supply chain planning, S&OP, or demand planning in a hardware or industrial product environment • Direct, hands-on experience standing up an S&OP or demand-capacity planning process from scratch • Experience in an early-stage or resource-constrained company strongly preferred • Experience reconciling demand forecasts against manufacturing or supplier capacity constraints • Hands-on materials execution experience, including purchase order management, supplier expediting, and build readiness tracking • Strong analytical and modeling skills • Ability to build planning tools in Excel or similar without a dedicated planning system • Demonstrated ability to run a cross-functional process aligning engineering, sales, and leadership on a shared plan • Experience in battery, energy storage, power electronics, or other hardware-adjacent categories preferred • Experience planning around long-lead, high-value components such as battery cells or semiconductors preferred • Experience working with a contract manufacturer in a component-direct sourcing model preferred • Experience scaling a company through a steep production ramp preferred • Must be able to work without visa sponsorship
